A triumph at the Process Innovation Challenge
After participating in several rounds of the 16th annual Process Innovation Challenge (PIC), our Chief Commercial Officer, James Jameson, passionately presented CaptionHub Live to an enthusiastic audience and esteemed PIC process dragons in the final at LocWorld51. After a vote by the audience and judges, CaptionHub was awarded Innovator of the Year 2024 - Europe.
This accolade, received for our groundbreaking innovation, CaptionHub Live, marks a significant milestone in our journey. The Process Innovation Challenge (PIC) victory underscores the profound impact and technological advancement of our real-time, zero-latency AI live-subtitling solution, capable of delivering subtitles in 130 languages.
The recognition we received as the standout innovation of the year is a testament to the relentless dedication and brilliance of our team. This includes the exceptional contributions of Tijmen Brommet, CaptionHub's Senior Developer, who played a pivotal role in architecting CaptionHub Live, and the visionary leadership and technical drive of Tom Bridges, CaptionHub's CEO, Founder, and Product Owner.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the other remarkable finalists who showcased their creativity and innovation: Loc & Capture Media Services, Blackbird.io, Bureau Works, CLEAR Global, and AcudocX. A gesture to support CLEAR Global's mission
We were particularly moved by the work of CLEAR Global, a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring everyone can access vital information and be heard, regardless of the language they speak. Their innovative process for information dissemination in low-connectivity, low-literacy contexts is truly extraordinary. In support of their incredible mission, CaptionHub has donated the PIC prize cheque to CLEAR Global. This donation reflects our commitment to making a positive impact on the world and supporting initiatives that align with our values.
Inspiring tech talks with valued partners AWS and Blackbird.io
LocWorld51 provided us with a platform to host two successful talks, a rare feat underscoring our thought leadership in the industry.
The first talk, "How Many Clocks? Overcoming the Technical Challenges in Engineering a Real-time AI-enabled Live Subtitling Solution," was presented by our Senior Developer, Tijmen Brommet, alongside Colin Willis, Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The second talk, "The Totally Non-standardized Languages Codes Everyone Uses – A Rollercoaster of Emotions," was presented by our CTO, Andrew McDonough, and Mathijs Sonnemans, Product Owner at Blackbird.io.
